Half and Full Day Tours

When booking a half or full day tour via our online booking service Scottish Classic Tours require full payment to secure your trip a minimum of six weeks prior to your chosen tour date.

Scottish Classic Tours can accept bookings for tour dates at short notice, if your chosen date is available, however full payment must be made at the time of collection.

Multi Day Tours

When booking a multi-day tour Scottish Classic Tours require a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your chosen tour dates. The full balance is payable six weeks prior to your chosen multi day tour start date.

If a balance is remaining on a multi-day tour booking within six weeks of the first day of tour, then Scottish Classic Tours reserves the right to cancel the whole tour and retain the deposit.

Cancellation Policy

If more than 6 weeks before the date of your chosen tour date notice of cancellation is received for a half or full day tour Scottish Classic Tours will refund the full tour cost minus an administration fee of £30.

Any cancellation for a half or full day tour made within 6 weeks of your chosen tour date will secure refunds on the following scale:

Between 41-28 days before start date - 75% of balance minus £30 administration fee.

Between 27-14 days before start date -50% of balance minus £30 administration fee.

Less than 13-0 days before start date -No refund will be given.

If requested Scottish Classic Tours may transfer the chosen date of your tour where possible but transferring tour dates is not guaranteed and is dependent on availability.

Cancellation of Multi Day Tours

If more than 6 weeks before the chosen start date of your multi-day tour notification of cancellation is received Scottish Classic Tours will refund the full tour cost minus the 25% non-refundable deposit and a £30 administration fee.

Any cancellation of a multi-day tour made within 6 weeks prior to the start date of your chosen tour, refunds will be made on the following scale:

Between 41-28 days before start date- 75% of balance minus the 25% non-refundable deposit and a £30 administration fee.

Between 27-14 days before start date -50% of balance minus the 25% non-refundable deposit and a £30 administration fee.

Less than 13-0 days before start date -No refund will be given.

Where exceptional circumstances prevail, Scottish Classic Tours reserves the right (in its absolute discretion) to cancel tours or services. In such cases customers will be promptly informed and given a full refund.

Risks and Insurance

Clients must have appropriate and adequate insurance (with a reputable insurer) to cover death, personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, loss of or damage to luggage and contents and expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of a tour. Each client is responsible for loss of or damage to baggage or personal possessions or consequential loss arising there from. In the event of client illness during a tour the client(s) must accept responsibility for any medical costs incurred and Scottish Classic Tours shall not be liable to refund any part of the tour cost. It is incumbent on each client to ensure that insurance cover held is both current and adequate for the needs of the client and / or group for which said client is responsible. All visitors from overseas must have suitable travel insurance to cover accident and repatriation.

Health and Safety

At all times clients must abide by the directions of the Scottish Classic Tours driver / guide.

Scottish Classic Tours must be notified in advance of clients who are suffering from any medical condition or are taking any medication which is likely to interfere with their mobility and / or ability to fully participate in the agreed tour program.

Clients whose fitness level or medical condition is not considered by the driver / guide to be appropriate for certain activities may be asked to make alternative arrangements. In such cases compensation will not be offered by Scottish Classic Tours.

Clients should be aware that weather conditions in Scotland can be severe (even in summer) and hence MUST be properly equipped.

Scottish Classic Tours reserves the right to terminate a tour if, in the reasonable opinion of the driver / guide the behaviour of a client or client group is or is likely to be disruptive, dangerous or upsetting to other people or if such client or client group have caused or are likely to cause damage to property. If a tour is terminated due to unacceptable or anti-social behaviour Scottish Classic Tours will not pay any refund or costs incurred by the client or client group incurred.

Complaints Procedure

Whenever possible, clients should promptly bring a complaint to attention of the driver / guide at the time.

Clients wishing to lodge a complaint after the trip or tour should write to Scottish Classic Tours within 28 days of the tour end providing full details. Scottish Classic Tours will endeavour to resolve such complaint in as amicable a manner as possible in a reasonable timescale.

Tour Policy

Scottish Classic Tours provide a private tour service which is exclusive to you and your party only. We do not add other parties to your tour, nor do we accept bookings for individuals joining together to make up numbers. Our tours are not designed for split parties and your booking may be cancelled if we suspect this is the case.
